For the month of April and May Jade Cannabis Co. has been collecting donations for an amazing local charity: Scoot to the Stars dog rescue. STTS is a Reno-based pup rescue with the coolest mission to help dogs with mobility impairments live their happiest lives. Think: smiling doggos rolling around on wheels! Not only are their success stories incredibly cute, but STTS is truly giving new life to dogs that previously could not run or play. Many of these dogs get overlooked in traditional animal shelters, but STTS is helping them get the love and attention they deserve.
STTS works with local families to train them as fosters for all the rescue dogs currently in the program. These families learn specifically about care for special needs animals. All of the foster dogs are available for adoption by the perfect family! In a second facet of their programming, STTS also provides assistance for families with disabled animals who need help with supplies or care. They provide items such as wheelchairs, harnesses, diapers, pee pads, and more.
This month, all of the dogs that are currently up for adoption at STTS just got dolled up for a professional photo shoot with Black Poodle Studio. Starting April 1 you can go and check out the photos of the dogs up for adoption!
When you come shop at Jade during April and May, you can also drop us a donation to STTS. With each $5 donated you get entered into a drawing to win some AWESOME raffle prizes, and you get to vote for the dog you think is the fastest on wheels. And even BETTER! Jade is going to match your donations dollar for dollar for up to $2,000.
On May 20 from 10-2pm at 1085 S. Virginia St, come get involved in MidTown helping Clean-Up from 10-12pm and then stay for the after party 12-3pm for your chance to meet the stars of Scoot To The Stars, and maybe you’ll even meet your new best friend on wheels?
